Artist Director Tara Blue founded Blue Collar Dance Company 1995. After studies at Les Atilier danse de Montreal (1990 – 1992), she graduated from the U of Calgary’s BA program in Dance in 1996. Her vision of creating ‘dance for the rest of us’ combines energetic contemporary dance with a liberal dose of comedy. “I love making people laugh. I love the organic truth in movement and I love well crafted stories about shared human experiences. In my work I strive to combine a well crafted story with organic movement.”
